Carlucci for mayor!

Great news for Wellington - Carlucci announced today that he is running for mayor - check out his candiate profile below and spread the word! Carlucci for mayor - it's time.

  1. Candiate Profile
Carl Gifford is a successful businessman and a stone mason from the South Coast who has beautified Wellington with his rock walls, water features, sculptures and iconic tourist attraction/education park,Carlucci Land.

A passionate, born and bred Wellingtonian he is married with three children.

    Carlucci’s four point plan

1)Improving Wellington’s physical environment and infrastructure –especially keeping the streets, gullys’ and rivers clean.
2)Rate reductions and cost control – As a successful entreprenuer and rate payer Carl believes strongly in containing excessive local government spending.
3)Tourism growth and venture education - Carlucci has numerous ingenuoious ideas to take advantage of Wellington’s untapped natural resources to expand adventure and family tourism and education.
4)Growth of small business ventures - Red tape, bureaucracy and excessive compliance costs don’t create fertile soil for business to grow. Carl is committed to creating a strong business environment that encourages business to thrive

I feel truly in my heart that we have done all the major infrastructural work around the water front and it is time to clean up our city. We need to get rid of the rubbish. It is time to make real the “clean green” image marketed overseas. It’s also time for someone with commercial nous, vision, vibracy, energy and passion to take Wellington to the next level without spoiling the place we live.”

"I am overwhelmed and humbled by the huge support since I announced my decision to stand as Mayor of our great city. I am a colourful character who has a true passion for benefiting the lives of others through creative, positive, fun, and successful ventures. I am not afraid to take a calculated risk and forge new paths. I am a businessman who truly believes in listening to and supporting alternative viewpoints and inclusive decision making. "

If you yearn for a breath of fresh air, compelling vision backed by drive vote Carlucci.
